Mimics are very rare and harmless. Seasonal colours shift the palette slightly around late October and December.

Some books have a small badge beside the title for an alternate cover or deluxe edition. Tapping the badge records that you own that version, and marks the book owned at the same time.
Long-press a book — or right-click it — to record where it sits on your shelf, or the campaign and delivery date for something you've backed. Long-press a publisher bar instead to change its colour.
The search box matches titles, publishers, systems and shelf locations. The Show menu narrows the shelf to owned, missing, wishlist, backed or overdue. Tap a publisher bar to fold that section away; Collapse all folds every one at once.
The + and − buttons on the left make everything bigger or smaller, between 50% and 200%. The number below them resets to 100%. The number of books per row never changes, so nothing jumps around.

Press Reorder, then drag a book by the handle on its right. A book can only move within its own publisher. Ticking is paused while you rearrange. Press Done when finished, or Reset order to put a publisher back the way it started.
Every publisher has a set of trophies — own your first book from them, own their core rulebooks, reach a quarter, a half, then all of the line. On top of that there are hand-written ones for particular sets of books, and a few that are kept secret until you earn them.
The small cup on each publisher bar fills in once you have earned every trophy for that line. Tap the cup to see just that publisher's list, or open Settings → Trophies for all of them at once.
Trophies you have not earned still show, greyed out, with a rough hint of what they want — so you can see there is something there without being told exactly what.
A trophy can be taken back. They are worked out fresh from what you own, so if a book is later added to a line you had completed, that line stops being complete. When that happens the cog gets a red ! and Settings tells you which trophy changed and why. It will never happen quietly.

Finishing a whole publisher gets you a natural 20 and a little confetti in that publisher's colour.
Collection level in Settings counts books owned, lines finished and trophies earned into one number. It does nothing. It is just nice.
Mimics — very rarely, about one tap in three hundred, a book turns out to be a mimic. It bites, then behaves. Your tick still registers exactly as normal. Switch them off under Settings → Extras.
Seasonal colours shift the palette slightly in late October and December. Also switchable under Extras.
There are one or two other things to find. Tapping around is encouraged.
Under Settings → Shelf style there are three switches. Metallic gives the publisher bars a brushed-metal sheen. Neon hollows them out so the colour becomes a glowing outline instead of a fill. Those two are alternatives — switching one on switches the other off, and having neither is perfectly fine. Neon lettering makes the text glow and works with either, or on its own.
Those switches are the starting point for every publisher. To change just one, long-press its bar — or right-click it. That panel has its own Bar and Lettering menus, and whatever you pick there wins over the switches in Settings. So you can have one publisher glowing in neon and leave the other forty-one plain.
Each menu starts on Use the overall setting, which means “follow Settings” — and that is different from choosing Plain. A publisher left on “use the overall setting” will change when you flip the Settings switch; one you have explicitly set to Plain will stay plain no matter what you do there.
You can also pick any colour you like for a bar, and Use default puts the colour back.
That same panel has a Retired / out of print switch. Turn it on and every book in that line gets a small flame beside its tick box, so you can see at a glance which lines are no longer being printed. It only changes the badge — your checkmarks are untouched.
This keeps a copy of your collection in Drive, so it survives a lost phone and reaches your other devices.
That's it. From then on the app writes your collection into that folder a few seconds after any change, and Drive carries it up. The cloud button beside the cog shows what's happening: an outline circle means no folder is connected yet, a cloud means connected and up to date, rain means it's writing, and a tick flashes when a write finishes.
After you fully close and reopen your browser, the circle may come back. That is normal — the browser asks you to confirm the folder once more for safety. Click the cloud and it resumes.
The app also reads that file when it opens. If another computer changed it, the cloud turns into a storm. Click it and you choose what happens: Merge both (the safe one — it only ever adds marks), Use the file, or Keep this device. Nothing is ever decided for you, and nothing changes until you pick.
Phones cannot do the folder part. Choosing a folder is a desktop-only ability that Chrome and Edge have on a computer and no mobile browser has at all — so a phone can neither write to your Drive folder nor read from it on its own.
What your phone can do is fetch the file by hand. In Settings press
Load from Drive, pick warlock-shelf.json out of your Drive, then choose
Merge. That pulls in everything your computer has saved.
To send changes the other way, use Backup → Save file on the phone and put that file into your Drive folder yourself.
Once a month the app also drops a dated snapshot into the same folder, so you can go back to an earlier version of your collection if you ever need to.
This needs Chrome or Edge, and it does not work in the double-click copy of the app — a page opened straight from a file isn't allowed to write to folders. In those cases the button saves a copy to your Downloads instead, and you move it into Drive yourself.
